GF HOTELES
On the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the hotel chain held internal workshops that combined sports, communication, and team dynamics
Under the slogan “Prevention cannot be seen, but it is felt,” World Day for Safety and Health at Work was celebrated on April 28th with a day dedicated to physical and emotional well-being and teamwork. Through various activities, the hotel chain highlighted the importance of taking care of health in the work environment and fostering more cohesive teams.
The activity came to life at the Bio Spa of GF Victoria, where Asier Monreal, personal trainer at GF Hoteles, and Morganne Bonnet, director of Bio-Spa, led specialized sessions on strength training. During these meetings, special emphasis was placed on the prevention of sarcopenia, highlighting how physical exercise not only improves daily performance but also acts as a fundamental pillar for long-term health and quality of life.
In parallel, the emotional component took center stage through the “Connecting to Build” workshop, an initiative by the Human Resources team designed to strengthen communication and emotion management within the organization. This vision was completed with the intervention of Penélope Javaloyes, who led dynamics based on play and empathetic communication. Her activities demonstrated that clear communication and good internal coordination are key to achieving common goals efficiently.
Pilar García, HR Director of GF Hoteles, highlighted the relevance of this initiative: “At GF Hoteles, we understand that the success of our organization lies in the integral well-being of each person who is part of it. These sessions not only reinforce physical safety but also nurture our corporate culture and human connection, which are indispensable pillars for a healthy and motivating work environment.”
With these workshops, the chain reaffirms its commitment to a safe, healthy, and, above all, human work environment.
