The hotel chain's staff actively participates in this initiative through a sustainable mobility application.
GF Hoteles, the hotel chain of Grupo Fedola, continues to advance its commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental impact. Since August 2025, it has reduced its CO₂ emissions by more than 9 tons thanks to a sustainable mobility pilot project developed in partnership with the Ciclogreen platform, with the aim of promoting more responsible travel among its employees.
The GF Hoteles team uses the Ciclogreen app for their work commutes, which allows them to record sustainable journeys, measure the reduction of CO₂ emissions, and promote car sharing, among other efficient mobility alternatives.
Thanks to this initiative, GF Hoteles teams have traveled 108,386 kilometers sustainably, preventing the emission of 9,212 kg of CO₂ into the atmosphere. In addition to the environmental benefit, the project has resulted in estimated cost savings of €21,394, demonstrating that sustainability also generates shared value.
Currently, 159 users actively participate in the Ciclogreen app, primarily using carpooling for their commutes. This initiative helps optimize daily journeys, reduce the number of vehicles on the road, and promote more efficient and responsible mobility habits.
Looking ahead to 2026, GF Hoteles will continue to advance in this direction by expanding the program's reach. In addition to carpooling, the initiative will incorporate other responsible modes of transport such as public transport, cycling, and walking, thus reinforcing its commitment to more efficient mobility.
“At GF Hoteles, we continue to take real steps towards more sustainable mobility. We firmly believe that small changes, when made as a team, generate a big impact,” emphasizes Pilar García, Human Resources Director of the hotel chain.
This action is part of GF Hoteles' Be Green Life strategy, reaffirming its commitment to a more responsible management model, aligned with the values of sustainability and collective well-being.
