June 14th: World Blood donors Day
As we've been telling you June the 11th was an important date for us and we'll explain the reason.
On Monday, in all our hotels in the South of Tenerife (COSTA ADEJE GRAN HOTEL, HOTEL FANABE Costa Sur and Hotel A. Isabel) there was a special unit for blood donation so all the staff at GF Hoteles had the chance to be blood donor in a gesture of solidarity.
Because of world blood donor's day next June 14th, we want to share this great news and insist in the vital importance to encourage people to become blood donors.
According to the local responsible of blood banks, Instituto Canario de Hemodonación y Hemoterapia and Red Transfusional Canaria, blood donation is really important as "regular donations guarantees our blood banks are in good conditions so we do not have to improvise or rush. Due to the expiry date of blood or any component, blood donations are needed on permanent basis" in addition "altruistic, responsible and voluntary donations help to keep a high quality health service with no unnecessary delays"
From GF Hoteles we support blood donation and have done our very best to make things easy for everybody at our staff that wanted to cooperate. We want to thank all the blood donors and encourage followers of GF Hoteles to join this initiative.
