Imperial Ice Stars brings Tchaikovsky Sleeping Beauty on Ice to Tenerife’s Auditorium in May
Ballet on ice with the music of Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty with 20 ice skaters will perform this beautiful story to take us to a wonderful fairy tale world.
The worlwide known Imperial Ice Stars, will be in Tenerife this month, they include in their performances the Nutcracker on ice, Sawn Lake on Ice, Cinderella on Ice, but this time the show is the Sleeping Beauty on Ice on stage during only five days in May at the Auditorium in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

What’s a Romería?
lol It’s a popular festivity to honour a Saint or a Virgin where you would see everybody ( or at least, that’s the way it should be ) wearing traditional dresses , traje de mago, completing a procession with the Saint, not very long in general.
Romerías in Tenerife are quite joyful , people sing traditional songs, play timples, dance isas, folías and it’s a great chance to know a little about Tenerife’s folklore.
There are also activities arround romerías such as:
-local gastronomy tasting: papas with mojo, gofio, cheese..
- Exhibition of traditional sports as lucha canaria, a type of wrestling, or salto del pastor ( shepherds use to jump in the mountains or ravines helped with a long wood , very few people still doing it nowadays)
-Elecction of Romera , it’s like the queen of the festivity
-Animals exhibitions and competitions, mainly oxes pulling a cart with wood that have to cover a certain route

Red bull 7Islands 2012 with Josef Ajram will be in Tenerifas part ofthe 7 ironman, one per island in the Canaries, just before Lanzarote’s Ironman where 1800 international atletes ill take part in the competition.
More than a marathon, 7 triathlons
This solo challenge by Josef Ajram is both human and sport with no precedent. Having to complete in the 7 Canary Islands ,7triatlons with no rest. Every day Josef is swimming 3.8 km, cycling 180 km and and 42 kms running, eventough the itinerary hasn’t been given yet. Red Bull will set several points in Tenerife to support Josef.

Tweetvaso linkWe are immensely lucky in Tenerife as we have lots of beaches all over the island , different between them , so there’s a right one that suits needs and tastes, there’s is for sure a perfect beach.
To be honest, I don’t like crowded beaches, where many people go; I’m fond of quiet and wide ones, with enough space to be comfortable, as Fanabe Beach in Costa Adeje, in the South of Tenerife

Fanabe beach you’ll find nearly everything you are looking for. Wide beach with bars to relax having a cocktail or any other drink, a great promenade with sea views, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, so if you want to enjoy your lunch in the area there’s a wide choice of places or pick something in a supermarket if you prefer to prepare it yourself.
At Fanabe beach you have the following facilities and services for a perfect day in the beach:

Fanabe beach also has Blue Flag, what means clean water, accessibility and quality.

I have been so lucky as I have enjoyed this show in London, and I can assure you won’t forget Cirque du Soleil performance in your live.
I won’t give any tips about Alegría, that’s is something you have to enjoy but I thought a photo essay would be helpful to get an idea of what sort of show is comming.
